LOTE - German 

German is the LOTE (Language Other Than English) taught at Gatton State School and also in all the feeder schools which supply year 8 children to the Lockyer District High School. 

All children in years 6-7 are taught German by specialist teachers for 90 minutes a week. Children in year 5 study German for 30 minutes per week.

All year 8 students at Lockyer District High School also study German. 
Beyond year 8, German is an optional subject.
