Location

Gatton State School,  which opened in 1876, is located in the Toowoomba District, and services the town of Gatton and the surrounding community.

 
The community consists of the urban centre of Gatton, heart of the Lockyer Valley, the University of Queensland Gatton Campus and surrounding farmland used predominately for agriculture. 
The school campus includes the primary school (Prep to year 7), a special education unit and an Early Childhood Development Program.
